  1. Gretsch 7629 ·
I looked at a Fender Jazz Bass at the same time and chose the Gretsch based on price. After playing it I would now choose it over the Fender. If it were lost or stolen I'd have to search for another but it is rare now and I'd probably be out of ...(more)

I would bye this amp again if I could. Finding one would be hard though.

This software is unique in my experience. For the first time I can get an idea of what chords are used in songs I'm interested in playing quickly and easily. When I tried it on songs I knew I found the results very accurate. The only improvement...(more)

  4. Behringer Eurorack UB1222FX-Pro ·
I looked at a number of mixers including Yamaha and Apex and the Behringer had more features for the same money.

  5. Rotosound Swing Bass ·
I've used Dean Markleys and hated them. I've used other brands but can't remember them all. The Rotos outperform any others I've tried 10 to 1.

  6. Fender Precision Lyte ·
I bought this bass to avoid wear and tear on my real baby the Gretsch 7629 "committee" bass. That and I don't like taking the Gretsch out of the house (it's quite rare). The P-Lyte suits my needs to a T and the price was right. Having bought it ...(more)

  7. D'Addario ProSteels ·
I mostly use Rotosound swing bass stainless RW's. I tried these because the Roto's can be hard to get. I will never use them again.

  8. Ernie Ball/Music Man Super Slinky ·
The best aspect of these strings is how well they play. They are smooth to the fingers, even better here than Roto's. I wish they had a little more 'growl' though. They are a little 'sweet'. Roto's are still the best IMO.

  9. Practice Tracks ·
I bought the Rock for Bass Players. Great CD. There are 10 songs about 5 minutes each. Each track has an A and B part. There is a short intro with bass to give you a sense of how it should sound and then the song without bass to play along with....(more)

This amp is indispensible to me. I need to use headphones so as not to bother the neighbors etc. and I couldn't be without it. Would I replace it? In a heartbeat.

  11. 70's & 80's MIDI ·
Annoying non-related pop-ups, some that even launch other pop-ups. Finally tried the search and got no matches. Then couldn't get back to the search page without the pop-ups again. Don't bother with this site.

I chose DiMarzio because I had used one before and on the advice of a trusted technician. I feel I got my moneys worth.

  14. Rickenbacker 4001 ·
I have a 1980 Gretsch "committee" bass and the Ric is very similar in design and quality. I also have a Fender Precision Lyte with DiMarzio pups and I'd have to say the Fender, although much less expensive and clearly not of the same quality pla...(more)

  19. Electro-Harmonix Double Muff ·
I listened to many sound samples before deciding on the Double Muff. The DM has that authentic vintage sound. The deciding factor was the second stage. Having the two fuzz units in series added a versatility that other units didn't have. <br/><...(more)

  20. Boss PH-3 Phase Shifter ·
I directly compared the Boss phaser to the moogerfooger MF-103. The Moogerfooger is a superior pedal but at more than three times the price I settled for the Boss. I'm happy with my choice.
