   Thanks Brian, Flint and Howard. I had partly come to the conclusion that it all comes down to looks. There's just some basses that look better w/ a rosewood fretboard and some look better w/ maple, etc. The Guitar Center in my neck of the woods...(more)

   Is there really any substanial difference? Some say maple has a brighter and warmer tone and faster neck. I currently own a Fender Jazz Bass w/ rosewood fingerboard. I'm in the market for another bass (considering the Music Man Sterling) and de...(more)
