   ive seen a lot of bassists doing co-op s--- with other bassists go that route and tackle the melody... well, no rules man... do it, but if you are going to, do the HELL out of it, hear me?

   i like my action negative... so minimum without rattling to maximize playability =] easy stuff to play with... truss rod/ nut/ bridge adjustment... all depends... is there any curvature to the neck? and does the action seem to increase towards...(more)

   if your skill is at a reasonable level it should translate easily... all depends on aptitude /practice and it'll be fine

   could change the pickguard... lots of crazy colors out there... decals sometimes work. my dad has a sticker of saturn on his classical that looks really sick... honestly more often than not stickers look stupid and um... lack or better terminolo...(more)

    gotcha... i know exactly what you are talking about... but i believe my answer remains similar... those arent really targeted at the general public, but bassists that have the money to already have a couple of basses and are willing to invest...

    y exactly do you want a 10 string? i've played plenty of dean guitars, not basses, that i loved... you can get great inexpensive 6 and even 7 stringers (conklin)... 10 arent really made for the general public...

    heaeha.... i know what you mean, i'm modifying a yamaha strat copy i bought for $15 off of a friend of mine, and just to know that i'm teh one doing it makes that piece of junk mean something... is the fretboard epoxied?
