    Interestingly (or maybe not), my 5 has a high C, instead of a low B. Kind of fun for doing pizz solo stuff, and slap octaves. That being said, I do play my 4's much more often these days...

    For those old enough to remember, Don was the host of "Don Kershner's Rock Concert," a 70's show that had everyone from ABBA to Black Sabbath. He was also the creator/manager of the Monkees.

    Bruce Thomas from Elvis Costello and the Attractions came up with consistently cool lines - he was really the "lead" instrument of the group (esp. on the more bouncy pop stuff).

    Yes - my 5-string is strung with a high C, and I love it! I have a custom made nut, so that's not an issue... I often jump into the upper frets to add a bit of spice to lines - the high C makes it easier to hit those notes without having to s...(more)
