I have only one song to say..."Ramble On" by Led Zeppelin. John Paul Jones is a genius to have thought of that and is really under-rated.

Well, usually I'll grab my bass and warm up by doing some scales and little exercises I have came up with. Once I do that I will either put in a cd and play along with songs or just play them by myself. But the songs I find myself playing the mo...(more)

Well, judging from what you said I'm not sure if I even want too. You may have been able to trick me into searching if you haven't had typed "eeeeeccccckkkkkk" after your statement.

If you wanted you could get someone already in the band to sing a few lyrics here and there to create a main theme. I really like how Primus does, they have lyrics to explain of what the song is about and after the lyrics or as a break between t...(more)

I agree 100% on P-Nut. I love his bass playing and exspecially what he plays on "Creatures" is awesome. Well, that's my 2 cents.

Hey, I bought a Peavey Grind bass a few months ago and love accept that it sometimes goes out of tune a little. I know that it has to be the tuning keys on it now but I don't know what kind of new ones to buy. Also, what about the size of the wh...(more)

I know that Slipknot's cd, "Vol. 3(The Subliminal Verses), has been out a while but I just got it last Saturday and have to say that Paul Gray is a pretty good metal bass player. Also for him to be in a band with 8 other people he does a good jo...(more)

Hey, I was wondering if there is any tips to find band members aside from posting signs at guitar shops. Anything will help me out;and if it helps, I live in South Carolina. Please respond.

Thanks for giving me a good laugh. But seriously, I have been writing some lyrics down and have decided that they are really metal songs but I need some basis to work around. Any little advice will help.

Hey, I know this is a little out of character for me to ask but what is the basis of a metal riff. I have the urge to play some fast paced metal stuff and have created a few riffs but I was wondering what is the basis of a metal line.

He also has a bow solo on their older DVD "The Song Remains the Same". It a good solo and a good concert, if you don't have it you should check it out.

I agree, the best is seeing Jimmy Page do it. I have a concert of there's on DVD and by the end of his bow solo the strings from the bow have snapped and are hanging off the bow. So I would say it hurts it.

Well I would use a computer program but my computer isn't so good. I would rather have a console recorder for better reliability anyway. Thanks for posting though.

Well I know that the people in studios get paid because they know how to work all of that equipment, the problem is that the nearest studio is about 30-40 miles away.
Anyway, the instruments I would like to record would consist of bass, guitar...(more)

I would consider my self a serious musician I guess. And I practice a couple hours a day, it varys from time to time but probably no less than 2 hours a day; I usually space the time out and take breaks though.
