I said way back in January that I'd follow up on this, and craigslist actually worked - it hooked me up with a local guitarist and we are really having fun right now and actually gigging and enjoying what we're doing.

Yeah Cliff I know what you mean. I don't hold high hopes for anything permanent, but you never know. Maybe a bunch of multi-aged misfits is just what a band needs for a congealing theme.

Thanks for the reply Douglas. I'm pretty versatile, though I def. have my preferences. Still, I am open to most kinds of music and styles - I certainly have something to learn from them all.

I am not an expert, but fwiw I play a fretless. I really like what I can do with it. In the band I was in I played the fretless almost exclusively, including rock and roll songs like Workin' for a livin' and Asleep at the Wheel's version of "R...(more)

Yes, Kate, it's very rewarding - not always fun and sometimes very sad, but as far as careers go, I've done much more with this than I ever could musically. More's the pity!

yup - I really like the synergy that Tool possesses. I kind of wish Maynard would wind up his gig with Perfect Circle and that the boys would go back to the studio and do some more stuff.

yup - a long time ago I went to veterinary school. I finally wound up as the head vet for the San Diego Zoo, and still hold that position today. I wish skill at vet med equated to skill playing the bass; sadly, that is not the case!
