Must fess up I too am a gear head, but not a snob. Cheap starter gear has come a long way since many of us started playing as has the upper range of equipment. The real trick is to find the combination of gear that works for you.

The interval of a 4th is not always perceived as dissonant, think of the case of a CM chord with the octave included, G-C is a fourth but does not have the came tension with a C in the root position.

Absolutely only take aspirin regularly on the advice of a physician, this was meant to be a reminder of what to do when it happens.
I had my heart attack scare a few years ago, turned out to be my gall bladder.

There are a lot of sleeper basses from the 80's and 90's that are pretty damn good. I have a bud that has the 5 string version of that bass and it plays and sounds great.
