Pull out the 5 string bass and give it a try!
Please change then E to the B string and the A to the E string when using a 5 string bass. If you like slapping you should be able to pull off the kick drum sound when slapping the C note. (5 String Bass)

I play this on my five string bass using E, A and the D string for the Jazz sound. For a funk feel I will use B, E, A and the D string. I sub the open E for a 5th fret on the B string and do a 5 - 6 slide on the E string.
