Well, I'm Andy. I've been playing bass for about a year and play anything from Nirvana to Radiohead, Ben Harper to PUSA. I see myself as an alright bass player, nothing special. The thing I need help on, if anyone wants to help, is learning how to listen to music and figuring out the notes. I can do it basic songs, but not complex ones, especially slap. Another thing I'd like to know is just how to write bass lines to guitar riffs. I can write for chords, but I feel like I need to step away from them to make the songs better.

The only thing that I can really do that other bassists in my area can't, even those playing 5+ years, is 3 and 4 finger picking. I have written up a lesson and have distributed to fellow bass players. If you want it, just e-mail me and I'll send you a copy.
