Me and My Artcore
Who's that Girl Holding Down that Groove?
I've been playing bass since August 2006 but I feel like I should have been playing bass my whole life.
I started on piano at 8 and cello at 10 (still play it too). Then it was various choirs, musicals, and theatre productions, some guitar, and a little banjo. If there's an instrument around, I'll usually try to play it.
Bass has become my favorite instrument, my life, my reason for being...actually it's my reason for going to work every day to support this incessant habit.
I love to perform, play with people, and learn things from other bassists. My biggest challenge is to get all the boys (the other area musicians) to take me seriously. Once I get on stage and show them my groove, and they find themselves not only doing the head bob, but dancing, I know I've made myself clear.
