They call me THUMPER!
HEY ALL! my name's Brett. been playing bass for a long time now and worked in several bands in the later 70's and early 80's. i stopped playing seriously soon after as the family came along and i couldn't dedicate the time to play and earn a living. (could never get the two to go together!) the've all grown now so i'm back with a low E!
i've recently started playing in a new band. we are all "older" musicians who have found the time to take up playing again after a long absence. we are a covers band and play a wide range of music. our debut gig is in April 2007.
my real life job is a paramedic. i work in the east london area which is challenging on it's own. i've worked for the service for over 20 years. i work with a partner ( crewmate ) who is an EMT ( Emergency Medical Tecnician ) this means in the most serious medical situations, i take the lead as i'm the higher trained and qualified, but i also get to drive the beast too!

THE GEAR
my first bass was a Fender P copy with a 45w custom sound Trucker combo amp, neither of which i have anymore. above is my current gear. the Ibanez Blazer is an original 1980 which i've had from new. although it's semi retired now it is still my favourite, purely from a nostalgic point of view. i added the Aria TAB60 in 2005 with the Fender Rumble 25w combo as a practice amp. the Stagg Fusion 5 string was added in 2006 as a starter into the world of 5er's and i have gigged with it. in 2007 i purchased the Ashdown MAG210 300w as my gigging amp.
recently added is the Ibanez GSR200 in Nov 2009. In April 2010 the Harley Benton HBB30BK acoustic was added to the ever growing family.
I bought the Peavey 115 combo in Aug 2010. The Ashdown had developed a fault and i needed an amp quickly when I found this one. It's a very good amp and packs quite a punch for it's size.
