This is sort of where I am...
Hi. Glad you could stop by. Hope it is not a waste of your time. I am a home recorder these days, on a Fostex digital machine with some gadgets and effects and stuff. I continue to record tunes, mostly my own, and a few select covers I enjoy. I play guitar lefty strung righty, and bass lefty strung lefty. Sometimes they borrow from each-other and come up with some things that sound cool to my ears. I have been playing mostly 6 string bass since 1993. Have chosen to stay with it instead of playing a four, as the cost of what I want in a four is out of my league and pocketbook. Musically, I am trying to continue to evolve into a better player, yet get side tracked with the low budget "engineer" role of trying to record stuff. So, I just do what I can when I can. I used to read voraciously of psychology and philosophy and comparative religions, with the emphasis on the practical, such as the Sufi approach to life and spirituality. However, for the last 10 or so years, I do not read much, and just try to practice what I have learned from books, and what the Mevlevis taught me and some of the students of Gurdjieff and Bennett. Have spent time with some of them at one time or another.
