Just some info
Retired Navy Chief Petty Officer (RMC). Sea Stories galore. Currently I'm also retired from my former position as a computer operator at a grocery distribution warehouse (the IJ Company) I'm pro-American, pro-Navy and could care less whether you're Dem or Rep. My wife is a real genuine Irish lass, straight from the Emerald Isle. Our dog is a lazy moocher and is under the impression that she should be in charge of our lives and home. I love GOOD coffee, Rocky Road ice cream, Gentleman Jack, Jameson and Millers in long necks (none of that lite stuff!!) Riding my motorcycle with the Lovely Hannah on pillion. I abhor tobacco (nothing worse than a reformed smoker!). Computers are my main toys. I noodle around on the appalachian dulcimer, the guitar, and would like to become reasonably proficient on the electric bass. That ain't gonna happen, but I keep annoying the wife and dog with it anyway. I was a Motorcycle Safety Foundation instructor in Australia. I have been snake bitten twice, once by a boa constrictor. I nearly fell off the Leaning Tower of Pisa walking backwards while taking photos. I have been down inside Mount Vesuvius. Leaned against a column on the Parthenon in Athens (the tour guide was not happy about that). I have ridden a Kawasaki H2 750 triple to speeds well in excess of 130 MPH. I have been run into by a kangaroo, and once I found myself on a Honda SilverWing amidst a herd of wild horses in West Australia. My life did not flash before me but I did have thoughts about what my body would look like in the morgue! I have had one heart attack, one back surgery and am not looking forward to any more! It's been a great life and continues to keep me looking forward to waking up to see Hannah and Poocher there with me.
My gear
My current gear: Squier Tele (customized), Squier Vintage Modified Jazz bass, Squier '72 Tele (my favorite), Squier Strat, Fender G-DEC, Crate BT50, Tascam CD BT-1, Line 6 TonePort UX-1, Tascam MP GT1,(not seen: Casio Keyboard CTK-671, 3 Appalachian dulcimers)
