Working around the 12 string bass
I've had the 12 string bass for a few years now and have grown to love it. I even use it occassionally when I am teaching. I still prefer the 4 string, but there are definitely places for the 12. I am playing bass quite a bit more recently and love it. Hopefully I will have more opportunities to continue on the future.
My equipment
My first bass was a Christmas gift in 2002. It's an Ibanez SG200. It is a solid beginning bass that is just right for a novice like me. Right now I use a little Crate BX-15 amp. It's okay for the Ibanez, but isn't quite enough for the Hamer. Oh well, maybe someday... Second Bass was a gift from parental friend. It is a Hamer B12S 12 string electric. The guy who owned it before me was in a band that used to open for Cheap Trick. It's a horse, but a blast to play.
