SCREW PHOTO POINT!!
Hi All ! ...yes its me,
With a long overdue mod to the ole home page. How many of you out there have bass in your blood ? I mean you think bass... day in ..day out .. You cant drive past a pawn shop with out pearing in the window hopeing to get a glimpse of a classic relic hanging on the wall. Or go on vacation and high-light the phone book in the hotel room for all the music stores in the area ??? Oh Yes! we are guilty arn't we. Other than the classic symptoms of bass addiction, there are more suttle signs. Plucking upolersty beads around cushions ( feels like a B or E string ) steering wheel fretboard fingering. And the most condeming of all, Active bass is your opening page when you get on the web ! Best of all.. THERE IS NO CURE ! LOL!
Where are we headed as bass players?
What will bass be like 50 years from now? Over the last 25 years I seen it transend from a monotone background thump to a gut wrenching tool of passion.. then again, as the most melodic of any instruments. Where will we go from here? I hope that bass will contuniue to break new ground. In the time I have to sit down and play (limited at the present) I feel I have created something new almost every time I get to plug it up. If you feel this way towards your playing , then the future of bass is bright indeed!
Play hard !
