I've been playing for 7 years. I use a 76 Music Man Sabre and a fretless Fender jazz bass. I run them through a Mesa Boogie M Pulse 600 into a 4x10 Bag End cabinet(autographed by John Patittucci).I play bass for the Josh Davis Band down in Austin. Check our our site at www.joshdavisband.com. I have been in quite a few bands in Dallas but the one Im cuurently in takes the cake. My jazz focus is really encouraged in the music. We are a very eclectic, jazz-informed, groove driven trio. A couple of songs are available off the demo at our website. The sound quality ain't so good because of our inexpensive equiptment and lack of recording knowledge, but the tunes groove. We are working to hit a professional studio by the end of the summer, but were not quite there yet. Anyway, we gig all over Texas, so if you live around here check the website to stay posted for tour dates

Here is a bit of advice for any of you who may be in a rut as far as creativity is concerned. Listen to STANTON MOORE's FLYIN' THE KOOP. This CD is incredible. Chris Wood of Medeski, Martin, and Wood plays some incredible grooves with extremely tasteful improv. The majaority of all the tracks on the CD used the first takes from the studios and needed no editing. The musicians on this album are incredible. Whether or not your a fan of New Orleans jazz, you will be drooling after hearing this ultra modern take on a music laid forth by generations of jazz masters.
