one heavy MoFo
I am a 19 yr old from Ohio. I have been playing bass guitar for eight-nine years now. What could possibly be better than writing music and have people relate to what you do?
I enjoy learning as much as I possibly can about the bass as an instrument and the theory behind it. It's one thing thing to play a part that sounds good, but its another to know the reasoning behind why it sounds so good.
I'll listen to nearly anything and try and fit as many genres as possible into my own style of playing. Everything from Experimental, electronic, hardcore, latin & salsa, some classical, grindcore, indie, blues, rock and alternative, metal, 8 bit and 16 bit video game music, and i LOVE jazz. Bands that fall into the "other" category and defy genres are what I am into.
My bass arsenal includes an Ibanez SR800 fretless 4 string(conversion), Ibanez SR885 5 string with a custom body and swapped preamp, and a Warwick corvette 6 string. MOst recently I purchased a 5 string fretless that I am in love with. AS far as amps go i use a SWR 350 with a Behringer compressor. My pedalboard is under construstion, I'm researching new pedals to add to it. Currently on the hunt for a new cab setup. My last one was lost by a venue I played at. Anyone got any suggestions?
