Who I Am
I'm a 17-year-old bassist who started playing about two years ago. A while back all the music theory I was learning started to come together for me. I know I have a long way to go, but at least now I understand that all these scales, chords, and such I was learning fit together in a rational way to make music and that almost all music follows some of the same basic rules. The band I was in for a while broke up. I'm writing some songs of my own but I don't have the melodies harmonized yet, but I have collaborated on songs with a guitarist friend of mine. I'm also playing with my church's worship team and my school's jazz band. My reading skills have come a long way lately, since I had been neglecting them.
I am thankful to my saviour Jesus Christ for the gift of music and all that is good. "For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fulness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself...having made peace through the blood of His cross." (Col. 1:19-20) "Every good and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." (James 1:17)
