Sarcasm: Just One More Service I Offer

Hehe, you like the title? I got a bumper sticker on my car that says that and it has pretty much become the quote I live by. I am a pretty sarcastic person most of the time. But anyways, my name is Chris and welcome to my Activebass homepage! I am a 22 year old male from Southern Ohio and enjoy many styles like most any form of rock, some metal, funk, punk, alternative, classical, jazz, some pop and some country. Here is the link to my webpage: Chris's Homepage. (I should mention I am a sucker for promoting my webpage hehe).

My Life....

My Musical Life
I have been playing bass for about 9 years. Pretty much I play bass for the church I go to...been playing there for about 5 years. Aside from playing for our church choir I also play bass and sing for a gospel group there called The Joyful Noise. I have played for various local bands which include the hardcore band FX3, the punk band Obskure, and my dad's old rock/country band Freehand. I am also a guitarist (being playing guitar for the past 9-10 months...thanks to bass, learning guitar has been an easy process), singer (been singing for about 5 years), songwriter, and do some demo work on my 4 track. I am not in a band at the current moment (mainly b/c of school and work) but plan to get involved with one here soon. I'll keep you updated.

My Bass Gear
Basses: Peavey T-40 and a Steinberger Spirit (both 4 strings).
Amps/Cabs: Crate BX100 combo for church. Main rig consists of: Sansamp RBI preamp/Yamaha CP2000 poweramp/Avatar 4x10 cabinet.

My Regular Life
Well I don't really claim to have a regular life other than playing music haha. But anyways, other than playing music I go to Marshall University and am an Integrated Science & Technology (IST) major there. Simply put I am doing a computer science degree. I also have a big interest in computers, creating webpages (which I believe you've seen from my webpage and I am actually the webmaster behind the Freehand webpage as well), basic computer programming, playing games like Rollercoaster Tycoon and Driver, and I like to go fishing every now and then. I live a drug free life (plan to keep it that way too) and also dislike any music that tries to emphasize the image and looks over the music itself. It should always be about the music!
