I've been playing guitar for years but never really got into it..I had always admired Cliff Burton's bass and basically joined a band that needed a bass player and learned on the fly.
Bass guitar is the best, learn to use both fingers and pick.
Bass is the instrument for me, the sound is so crucial in any music and the rhythm element is way stronger than with the guitar.
