Thanks for popping in and taking a look at my homepage. Music is a great way to meet others,so please any questions about bass playing, ask away.I have been playing bass for 27 years. I play a washburn ABT 4 string bass , a yamaha 5 string and a six string Ibanez Prestige bass. All my basses have active pickups.I play through a Workingman head into a Peavey bin with a 18" BW.I don't use any effects and get most of my sounds from unit adjustments.I find this more challenging. I am 59 years old and I am self taught.I enjoy most styles of music ranging from musical theatre right through to some heavy metal.I am also involved in teaching bass and theory to beginning players.I have found that teaching has also improved my own playing.

what I play!!

I do most of my playing in the church. I belong to the CCC group of churches. The music is very comtemporary and modern. Styles range from blues, rock, ska and dance. I am now also playing in a big band setup. There 24 musicians in this band called "The Chicago Showband". We play things like Michael Buble; Frank Sinatra; Glenn Miller; songs from shows and Jazz favourites. I have found this fantastic stuff.I enjoy playing most styles.I find I am strong in some styles(blues, rock, metal) and not so in others(jazz, funk, disco) but I am working on these.
