I did research to replace the rack unit I was using with a pedal Octaver, and thought I'd at least try this one out while I wait for the one I picked. I decided I'm going to try another Octaver pedal instead, this one just isn't up to the task unfortunately. Great for guitar, but not so hot for bass...
Model Year: 2009
Price: $86.99 CAD (new)
Where Obtained: Long & McQuade
Features:
This is a stomp box with three knobs: High Filter, Blend, and Bass Filter. There's a switch for extra Bass (sub). There's a single input and two outputs, Dry and Effect (wet). No tubes, solid state, either 9v battery or adapter for power.
Sound Quality:
I borrowed this unit while waiting for another...I'd heard it demoed with guitar, but on trying it at home with 5 string bass, I was pretty disappointed. I play all different styles and was hoping this would stand in the gap for a bit, but it doesn't track as well as I'd hoped.
Ease of Use:
The unit is easy to get sounds from, it's just hard to get it to track. Didn't take much fiddling at all.
Durability:
It's a pretty solid, standard EH box. I'd think it's pretty durable. Switch seems to be pretty solid too.
