Overall Rating:
Definitely worth the money. The transition from 34" to 35" might be tough at first, but it's a step in the right direction.
Model Year: 2008
Price: $420.00 Euro (new)
Where Obtained: Hieber Lindberg Music Store (Germany)
Features:
- Made in China - Mahogany Body with flamed-maple top, transparent black finish, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard - 5 strings, 24 frets, extra long scale (35") - Active electronics, 5 pots (Volume, balance, 3-band EQ) - Two Ibanez soapbar pickups
Playability:
I struggled a bit with the extra long scale at first, but in the end the superiour articulation makes it worth the effort. Overall there's nothing I can find wrong with this one.
Sound Quality:
I play this bass through a Marshall MB30 combo amp, mainly for metal and jazz. The construction of this bass guarantees a full and deep sound, with absolutely no noise at all. The 3-band EQ also provides a full range of tones that would match just about any style.
Durability:
I haven't had it that long, but it gives a rather durable impression. So far it hasn't gone out of tune once.
