Overall Rating:
As you may know, Cort is the largest guitar manufacturer in the world. They manufacture Ibanez guitars among others. They tend to put nicer features on Cort branded guitars at a similar price point to ones made for others.
Model Year: 2001
Price: $230.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Bassplace via ebay
Features:
Cort Artisan C5 made in Korea. Basswood body maple and rosewood neck. Mightymite pickups with Active Bass control. It also features the Warwick style Fortress bridge.
Playability:
I've owned many a 5 string including Yamaha, Spector, Ibanez and Carvin. Believe it or not, this Cort is comparable to some of the higher end basses out there. The body style is similar to a Dean with a slightly wider and beefier neck than an Ibanez. Plays like butter. The B is a little floppy, but that's expected with a 34" scale.
Sound Quality:
People can't believe the tone. I play in a cover band and it's good for the variety of material we play.
Durability:
It's a Cort so I know it's well built.
