The new series MarkBass have yellow coned neodymium speakers, that is the only reason I decided to look for an "old series" (I'm a bit conservative concerning "looks", I guess)...this is the best secondhand purchase I ever made!

This 15-inch cabinet is the perfect match for the MarkBass 102STD (2x10) cabinet I already had, since they're both "old series" the dimensions match perfectly.
The cabinet has 1 speakon and 2 jack entries. The horntweeter can be controlled by a handy selection knob.

The 2x10 + 1x15 get powered by my Ashdown ABM500RC...ideal both in power and tone. One day perhaps I'll go for a genuine MarkBass amp as well, but so far the Ashdown does the job perfectly.
The sound of the cab is great, deep and beefy and crisp at the same time. I play a SAndberg RIC2004 5-string and the bass sounds extremely powerful.
Built like a tank and easy to haul around myself, without needing help from the bandmates...
