45-105's HARD STAINLESS, red silk. Roundwounds.
I absolutly love their tone!
Very Durable. So durable, you will need a fret job in a year. That's their only drawback. DAMMIT!
I don't use them because of that.
BUY THESE STRINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The strings are gauged 50-110
They are great strings. they dont rust, they dont die suddenly etc.
These strings are on my geddy lee jazz bass (i own 5 basses) and also on my bc rich warlock. I play metal, and they play very good for any gandre of music. I've used many other string brands (ghs, ernie ball, D'addario, dean markley) but let me say that i am officialy a strick rotosound player
They sound like new for ever! "well not ever"
They stay in tune all of time and i change them every 3-4 months "i like new strings"
I've used Dean Markleys and hated them. I've used other brands but can't remember them all. The Rotos outperform any others I've tried 10 to 1.

These are the best sounding strings I've ever used. On my Gretsch Committee 4 string they are bright and punchy. They seem great for any style you may want but excel for slap/pop.
I've had no problems with durability. They start to lose the brightness after a couple months but can be easily restored to new sound by boiling in soapy water, rinsing & drying. I can clean them several times before replacing. At the price though I can afford to replace them if I don't feel like cleaning them.
They are the best strings i have ever used, by far, i love them and i will probally never switch.

These just feel good, you can get a groove out of each hit of the string.
The best sound i can get, at least for me, is using these strings, they give u a Smooth, yet kind of Rough when you really need it.
They last at least a while im sure, ive only had mine for 3 months.
What can I say more?! This strings are fantastic! Best strings that I have ever played on it!

When I have start to play on this strings I have always want to use it on my bass. One of my friend have give to me and they was really something special to me. They are made with fine materials and are very quality!
They have great sound. I play any kind of styles with this strings. This strings are very practics.
I have this strings if I play realy, realy much 4 months. But I change this strings from 2 to 3 times on year. They stay always good in tune.
I chose these strings because I was unhappy with any set of strings I had previously used with the exception of dean markley but I didn't want to pay $40 every 2 months so I decided to give these a try, great strings. the only complaint I have is the strings could have a smoother feel to them but invest in some string cleaner/string wax and the problem is taken care of.

Standard gauge (45-105) long scale stings
I use these strings on a dean edge 4 standard and a dean rhapsody through a peavey practice amp and what I've been told is either a vintage crate or an EBS 15in amp(bought it used in a music shop, has no makings on it other than the power amp model # to say who it is made by) and these strings sound great on both amps and through both styles of bass. they last the longest of any set I've tried...ghs, dean markley, fender, washburn, ernie ball...ect. they have a bright clear sound with lots of tone, but also are good for hard rock if u turn your mids down and turn the tone off on the bass, all around good sounding strings.
A set of these rotosound strings usually lasts me 3-6 months before they go completely flat depending on the style of music I am playing at the time and how often I play. once I put the strings on a bass new and get them stretched theses strings never go out of tune unless the bass is bumped and knocked out of tune.

They are long scale and standard gauge.
These strings are the best I`ve used. I have used almost everything and these come out on top.
I had a set on my bass for four months one time because I couldn`t get down to the music store. That whole time I
had the same sound as the day they got broke in.
These are the best strings I've ever used. Previously I used D'Addario strings (Slowounds, and normal roundwounds). They strings are really bright and suit me perfectly. If you're looking for a darker sound you should get yourself some flatwounds. But, for the brightest, longest lasting roundwounds, get these strings.

I put these on my Schecter Stiletto Studio, that I play through a Fender BXR 100. These strings are extremely bright. The tone I got reminded me of the intro to "Bombtrack" by RATM. They are also amazing for slap playing. I don't usually do much slapping, but the sound of these strings made me want to learn some RHCP songs.
They seem to have stayed in tune very well and sound as bright today (about a month later) as the day I put them on. I'm lazy about changing strings, but these strings might facilitate my laziness as they sound new for an extended period of time.
I've tried almost any brand out there, so I have some experience with strings. Not only do they sound great and are pretty much everything I've ever wanted from strings, they are pretty cheap. In fact, since stores around here almost stopped carrying them, I may buy all the remaining stock (4 sets).

The plain ol' standard stainless steel (105, 80, 65, 45 gauge) and the funky gauge (.90.70.55.40 if I my memory serves). No fluff or flashy coating. They may not be smooth as silk, but they are still very playable.
I play an Ampeg Crystal Cut bass thru an Ampeg BA 115, and boy do they give a great sound. Punchy, bright lots of defintion, I couldn't ask more. I can get dirty by boosting the mids and still get a great warm, defined punchy blues tone (by cutting some tone). These are THE best strings I've ever used.
They stay in tune pretty well and are somewhat less durable than most strings I've used (since plain stainless steel tend to sound dead quicker). I bought this set in August and they just died on me, so 4 motnsh is max with these silks.
Overall Rating:

I just bought a set of elixers, they're really awesome.
These strings could have been better by having a
longer life, and being easier on the hands.
Don't buy these unless you can afford to buy a new
set every week or two...

Stainless steel strings with red silk ends.
Sound Quality:

I hated these strings...they were way too bright for my
style. Cutting alll the trebel on my Bass and Amp still
left it peircing my ear.
They sound good for punk though, But i'm not into
that
Durability:

They sounded new for 2 weeks, Stainless steel
strings do age faster though
Basically great sounding strings just dont last that long.

They stay in tune and sound great for a while. I guess if i had a bass tech on staff I would use these
Wel i've used d'addario and i prefer those over rotosound, they stay in tune better and sound better out of the package.

Well i use a fender jazz and an ashdown amp, well at the time a hartke amp, but it sounded pretty good after they were broken in.
They sound new for to long, you know the bright metalic sound. But they stay in tune for decen amount of time
Rotosound does not only make the best roundwound strings... they pioneered the first roundwound bass strings in 1962. Rotosound are the most famous stainless steel roundwound bass strings. They are by far the best sounding, longest lasting strings I have ever used. I've been playing for 24 years so I have at least a little experience under my belt. They are simple the best money can buy.

I use the standard gauge 45, 65, 80, 105. These strings are among the best stainless steel strings in the world, feturing a double ball-end.
These strings pack plenty of punch and balls. I play heavy metal and own a 1984 B.C. Rich Bich. Rotosounds bring my bass and rig to life. The string are used by bass players around the world in every style of music.
Rotosounds hold their tonal quality longer than any strings I have ever used. When we play live I am always amazed at how well the strings stay in tune. I am not kind to them at a gig.... they take a pounding, and still stay in tune. I like to change my strings once a month. (although I must admit I have exstended that from time to time)

Overall opinion, they are crap!!!

Personally i hate these strings, they sound crap, i would never buy these strings unless i needed them and they were the last ones in the shop, not worth the money at all.
On my fender, the strings that u get with them are really nice but when wore out i decided to buy roto sound strings and i hated them, they felted disgusting, even woren in they feel crap. but they sound o.k.
These strings i have to admit do last a long time and they do stay in tune for along time aswell but they lack in the feel and sound.
I wish they could make the sustain last longer to include the brightness they just go dead to quickly for me.

I use these on my Rickenbacker 4001 and Fender Precision for a rock and roll sound
This is where I have problems with these strings they are great sounding out of the package but they dont sustain for very long. I had to change them after 1 week of gigging.
I got these because they are what Geddy uses. They completely changed the sound of my bass, its a bit to get used to but they sound really nice. Putting such lively strings on my p-bass has created an identity crisis of sorts. I think these might be better on a jazz bass. I might change them for something boomier and put these guys in storage for when I buy that maple-necked jazz.

I find that the sound is very bright and aggresive. They are replacing the standard Fender Superbass that came with my mexi-p.
I Love These Strings!!! I would fight tooth and nail for the last set in the store, and cry like a girl if I didn't get them. (Okay, not really) But
Seriously, these are great strings.

I use these strings exclusively on my Kawai 4-string, with a graphite neck, and p/j pickup comination.
My Head is a Trace Elliot, played through a Peavey 1x15 Bass Cabinet.
I play finger style bass, and prefer the motown sound. I do a lot of sliding around the neck, so "String grab" is very important to me, and almost nonexistent with this string. IMO, no other string compares to these with respect to sound and playability, though I've only really tried:
- Blue Steel
- Dean Markley
- Bass Boomers
Way back when I was playing "out" every night, I changed strings every Month, so they are very durable. Keep in mind that I am not very hard on my strings.
Again, I play on a graphite neck, (No warpage), so once you give the strings a good stretch, they are in tune forever. With the Kawai, I rarely had to tune, except between shows from having bumped the tuning pegs.
As I recall they stay young for quite a while, though this is purely subjective.
