Looks sharp and plays sharp! Nice tonal versatility.
Price: $225.00
Where Obtained: Fellow bass player
Features:
Fast maple & rosewood neck that has a nice satin finish on the back. The 3 band EQ is something usually reserved for much higher priced basses.
Playability:
I play mostly blues and bluegrass. I am able to get a great variety of sounds from this bass. So far I have had only good comments from other players about this instrument.
Sound Quality:
I use a MarkBass 2-12 or an Ampeg SVT setup and both give a nice crisp sound with this bass. The mix of pickups really helps you to obtain the right tonal quality for the situation.
Durability:
This bass is kept in an SKB aircraft case when it is not being played. The overall finish and build quality is outstanding and I seem to fare better than others when the climate changes as far as staying in tune. I have played extended periods outside and have had no problems.
