I was looking in the $300-400 price range and this thing blew me away. I looked at the Ashdown Electric Blue and some others in this range but the features on this one lead me to choose it.
I would definitely buy this amp again if it were stolen.
My only gripes are the weight of it and the wheels. The wheels should be a bit bigger and the amp weighs about 100lbs.
If you are thinking about this amp and it's in your price range, do it. You won't be sorry.
Oh, yeah. The warranty!
It comes with a 1 year but I bought the 2 year extended from guitar center for $60 (thats why, at the top, it says I paid $410 for a $350 amp).
The GC warranty covers me for an extra two years AFTER the Behringer one runs out and it covers just about anything, some stuff even my fault!
Model Year: 2006
Price: $410.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Guitar Center
LOTS of power; I'm in a 4 piece and I can easily rise above during practice at only 1/4 volume.
The Shape, Bright, and Deep options let you choose from an amazing range of sound.
I prefer a warm sound which this amp more than delivers. So don't let the aluminum cones scare you away, they can be really punchy or very warm.
Some features:
Active and Passive channels;
Balanced DL;
Line-Out for tuner AND a regular Line Out;
FX in (return);
3 speaker outputs;
Included footswitch for controlling Ultrabass and Shape.
The Ultrabass is sweet. Just switch it on for sub-harmonics. I thought it would go out on me when I was tuned really low, but it STILL delivers!
Very nice and clean sounding, even at high volumes.
I play in a rock/metal band and it fits well.
I don't use it for such, but it could probably be very suited for punk music because it can be quite punchy if you want it to be.
Exceedingly easy to customize your sound.
This is probably one of the easiest to use I have ever worked with.
Looks quite durable.
Very rugged handles on the sides and decent built in wheels on the bottom side.
