This recording is loaded with great bass lines, grooves, and tunes. The musicians are first rate (and first-call) players who have combined to create an album of great music. Their goal was to create a live-off-the-floor recording, and outside of very few overdubs, they have succeeded. Laboriel is a legendary name within bass circles, and he continues here to interpret the bass in his highly original and creative ways. Check out "Let My People," "Bass Sweet," "Bebop Drive," and "Breakfast at Tiffany's."
