I put these pups in a 1986 Aria Pro II that I have. The pups have there own internal preamp so installation was fairly easy, and makes for a clean cavity.
They are active pups and they have excellent output, and have turned my Aria into a beast!!
The sound is great , very crisp on the high end, and not too muddy on the low end. For you who slap, you'll love these. Those looking for that classic muddy sound, these may be too crisp, and brite.
Not quite sure, I've only had mine a short while, but they appear well built and are made in the USA.
