If I were to lose this unit, I definately will buy another one. This is an affordable and well put together rhythm machine. I have seen other zoom products and they seem light and prone to breaking but this one is a little gem for any one who wants to work on locking in with the drum.

This unit has 7 velocity sensitive pads with 2 pad levels, giving a total of 14 sounds. It has a total of 70 kits, 50 of them are preset and you can create 20 user kits. There are 495 rhythm patterns to choose from (396 presets and 99 user. You can create up to 99 songs using any combination of the patterns. This is a must for beginner bass players or if you just like to jam along and see what comes up with a particular rhythm feel.
All the drum sounds are samples which are pretty good but then drum sound dont require high sampling rate to make them sound good. However, I have had friends who came to my house and thought I was in a band rehearsal cos the drums sounded so real. I cant argue with that!!
This unit is easy as to program and the manual that comes with it is easy to understand. I was up an running without needing the manual and it only took me a few minutes of reading to learn to program the unit. Very easy.
The build is pretty sturdy and since it can use either battery or main, this make the unit very portable. It is also footswitch controllerable and has a midi port at the back for sync'ing up with a recording deck. All the pads and buttons are durable and you can have confidence that they wont break when you are playing your rhythm into the unit. Overall, a well build product.
