I was skeptical about the ability of the Power Factor Pro to improve the performance of an instrument amplifier, but I have been proven wrong. It works! That unique feature makes it worth the extra investment, beyond what you would have to pay for a regular rackmount power conditioner. The input voltage meter is nice too.

Master power switch, outlets, and an input voltage meter. This is the floor unit, not the newer rack-mount.
Note that even though it might be confused for a line regulator, it is not. It can buffer and clean up the input power you get, but it can not correct for continuously low or high voltage.
Furman claims that the Power Factor Pro actually makes your amp sound better, by providing a 45 amp reservoir for peak demands. As far as I can tell, it seems to work! My amp used to start sounding not as nice after 1 o'clock on the master volume, now it seems to have more clarity when I pump up the volume.
I have not tried it on noisy circuits yet to test the linear filtering.
Plug it in and turn up the volume!
