I was looking for a little more sustain and after some discussion with Rick regarding his bridge,I was convinced that the Naimish Bridge was what I wanted/needed
We'll let Rick himself explain it...in his own words (as copied and pasted from one of our many correspondences)
As to what you can expect sound wise? An improved fundamental as well as an increase in overtones, the overall result being a fuller sounding note, no matter where it's played on the fretboard.
Also, better harmonics, and the elimination of any dead spots up and down the neck. This last point was an unexpected surprise when I installed the very first proto-type on a late model Fender American Jazz bass. You should also notice a slight improvement in sustain.
Although some modern bridge designs have come a long way in overcoming this last problem, I can't help but think that there is something inherent in the set screw string height adjuster designs that simply can not address the afore mentioned fundemental, overtone, and dead spot aspects Richard Naimish
So far,the bridge is doing exactly what he said it would do.
My favorite aspect is string height adjustment...simple,effective and easy.
One screw....simple
Worst aspect...well,in all honesty, the worst aspect has nothing to do with the bridge itself...
For me it would have to be the cost.
$160 US turns into roughly $200 Canadian....which is a fair chunk....considering I only paid $500 for the bass
Now that it's installed ($20 more) I think it's money well spent....still a chunk,but well spent.
Installed on my bass is a heavy duty, solid, simple bridge which I have
NO DOUBT will not fail me
Thanks for a great product Rick and I'm one pleased customer
:)
Peace Ed
The Naimish Bridge is a fantastic piece of machining.
Tolerances are tight and it's solid construction will last for years to come.
I can't forsee any troubles with it.
The key to it's user friendly design is the one allen screw string height adjustment, which Rick explains
MUCH better than I.

My model is a 4 string and gloss black...which matches the existing hardware on my bass perfectly.
I had a local luthier install the Naimish Bridge on my Ibanez SR480 and he marvelled at it's simplicity and it's heavy duty constuction.
"Whoever designed this sure knew what he was doing.Installing it was a breeze and adjusting it is simple and easy",said Yarmouth luthier and guitar builder Glenn Garnett
Reliability ???? Kinda too early to tell, but after looking at the Ibanez bridge that was removed from my bass (of which I've had NO trouble with, btw) I can tell you in all honesty that this bridge will
DEFINITELY outlast it.
Heavy duty to the max
Update:2011
So,after all this time (Purchased 2005) I've only had to adjust a couple times....
Still SUPER pleased with this product
Rick,I love my Namish Bridge !!!
