Overall Rating:
I think I finally found the perfect cab. Except for the weight, it is everything I've been searching for. Definitly try one out if you get the chance!
Model Year: 2004
Price: $950.00
Where Obtained: Local H&K importer and dealer
Features:
It's a cab, so there are not too many features to mention. The speakers are Eminence Legend B102 dual cone. The HF horn has 4 settings: off, low, mid, and high. Lacks 1/4" jack connections, but there is no need for them since I use speakon connectors. It also has XLR connectors, and two triangular front ports.
Sound Quality:
I use it with a MusicMan StingRay5 bass and an Ashdown ABM500 Evo II amp. The sound is very clear, punchy, and very deep. It can take the low B on my bass without breaking a sweat, and the sound is also very defined. The HF horn is not shrill or annoying like on other cabs I've used. Excellent definition, and it really brings out the tone of your bass. Because of the dual cone speakers, you can get a great sound even without the HF horn. I couldn't be happier with this cab.
Ease of Use:
It weighs 47lbs, so you need a buddy to help you carry it. Other then that, ease of use it top notch. Just plug in and go!
Durability:
Very solid build, and high quality materials. No plastic, all steel. The cab is covered in thick rubber-like black paint, and it's all very durable tough. No problems there...
