I like older Peaveys. I had a made in mexico fender Jazz. I think overall this is a great bass for the price. Not a great bass compared to a $1500 warwick. Its a great beginner bass compared to those new CHEAP Squier basses. I'm not a beginner, and trust me, I'll be gigging with this bass. Its sounds as good as my old MIM Fender did. For $200 you can't go wrong!!!

-Made in Japan
-It rsembles an early 50's P-bass with thetelecaster headstock.
-It is a short scale bass, that is 32 1/2. It has 20 frets
-it has 1 volumn, and 1 tone knob
-it has 1 small pj style pick up, similar to a mustang bass.
-The pickup is passive.
-it is sunburst, but is also available in black.
-it has a typical cheap fender bridge
with the big daddy schaller tuners.
-The only way you can adjust the action is with the bridge saddles.
It plays very nicely. I would invest in a thumbrest though. the pickup is too small to comfortably fingerstyle play on it.
I think its beautiful vintage looking(its almost vintage being a 1983),bass because of the old telecaster style headstock. My bass truley resembles a classic p-bass!
I rate it a 2 without a thumbrest, a 3 with it!!
Sounds like a grungy old mean bass considering its a little short scale.
I like the way it sounds, you have to mess with your p/u height, because they are very sensitive.
It all seems original, its 22 years old, It has some dings and works fine. I'd say its very durable!
