Features:
Mfgt. in Korea and assembled in Chicago IL. Black colour with swamp ash body. flatsawn maple neck with maple fret brd. 4 string with 24 frets. controls are master vol. with pullout to passive, blend, bass treb. and mid. control. 2 bartolini MK1 soap bar pus and 3 band buffered bart. eq. also is string thru or reg bridge. hipshot ultra light tuners.
Playability:
Very easy to set up and change intonation, truss rod, action etc. Lovely slim neck similar to a Fender Jazz neck. I also own a G&L ASAT, a G&L Tribute L-2000 and a Rickinbacker 4003 bass. The Lakland compares very favourably to them all. It has a similar feel to that of the G&L ASAT in the neck. Its a high quality instrument.
Sound Quality:
I play it through an Ashdown ABM EVO II 152 Combo with a 2x10 extension cabnet. I play mainly rock music but this bass would suit almost any genre of music. Different tones are easily obtained by blending the different pickup sounds. It does not emit any humming noises and I wouldnt modify it in any way.
Durability:
An alround excellent bass that is very strudy.

One of the best basses I've owned. For the money this thing blows basses twice it's price out of the water. I would be upset if i lost or this bass was stolen and would replace it with another Lakland.

I have my action set way low with no problems. it is slim fast playing neck similar to a jazz bass. this is one of the best bass i've owned. Small flaw with vol. knob loose, but quick fix.
Sound Quality:
I play rock and everything else this a very versatile bass, any sound or style it nails it. tons of flexibility with this bass. I play this thru a Mesa Rig and it is awesome. I have used live and in the studio and it's quiet as a mouse.
Durability:
This is a rock solid bass no complaints so far.
