Blink 182, the self-titled album released a couple years after their previous "Take Off Your Pants And Jacket", is much more serious and aggressive as the band matures. This album is not filled with dirty jokes and lines, as in previous albums, but is filled with stories of love lost, violence, and emotions not seen in previous works. This album could not be any better, as blink worked non-stop for 9 months to complete it. My favorite parts are all the bass riffs seem to be more lively and active, than in previous recordings. Mark Hoppus was actually reported to have taken bass lessons so that he can be a better musician. It shows, as his skill has greatly increased from other cd's. Mark even plays a Taylor acoustic on the song, "I Miss You". He may not be the best player ever, or even considered a great bass player, but his energy is what really counts as this blink-182 album really shows the true potential of blink-182, that is a really good punk rock band.
