Good for a beginner for practicing, and playing with the boys in the garage, but not for anything remotely serious.

For the price it has served it's purpose. Takes a lot of monkeying around to find an acceptable sound. The Shape feature is adjustable, but subtle. The ultrabass feature can make it sound like crap if you use too much, best at low volume with just enough to give the tone some beef.
2ch, 4 band EQ, footswitch to toggle channel and ultrabass, active/passive inputs, FX loop.
Used with Epi EB-0 & Thunderbird, Traben Chaos, Schecter Elite-4, Ibanez BTB405QM, Peavey Millenium basses.
FX: EH BassBalls Filter, MXR Distortion, Digitech Synth-wah, Behringer V-Amp (Many settings just made loud feedback at any kind of volume)
Sound is what you would expect for the price, bearable, sometimes decent. At Garage volume...
Just takes some time to find a sound you can accept.
The only thing that has happened to it is I left my bass plugged in one night and my wife tripped on the cord, damaging the Active input. Other than that, it's withstood rolling over in the back of my pickup truck, and some rough handling that I thought would wreck it, but it help up like a champ. Active bass still plays thru passive input, maybe with slightly better sound.
I like it, extreamly good for its price.

For the price, I think this amp is very good. It has a fairly good selection of knobs and other things to play with, such as 2 channels, 4 tonal knobs ( low, low mid, high mid, and high ), master volume, gain controls on both channels, a shape filter on the second channel, and the ultrabass(subharmonic), to wich I really don't use.
Very good for playing clean, but I get tonal distortion when I play loud (above 10). Good for jazz, swing, ska, punk, metal, and probably anything you can throw at it. ( keep in mind, I use no effects )
Very easy to use, not much advanced stuff to play with though. Although the interface in the back of the amp allows it to connect to a lot of electronics. ( sound board, ect...)
I've had it for a year, and it has not broken yet (although it tends to smell like burnt rubber after playing after a long time, while having the volume maxed). but one thing needs to be changed... its weight!
Overall Rating:

Overall, the inexpensivness of this product was reflected in the durability of it. the wood/plastic deformed easily and the electronics failed very quickly!
considering this amp cost very little in comparison to other brand name amps in this price range, it gets an below average rating. because of the poor electronic and the fact that 45% failed within a year, it gets a rating which reflects it.

Your Basic Cheap Combo Amp

It features both active and passive inputs, headphones, effects loop.
12" speaker at 60watt RMS
Pretty good wattage for the price. parts and features for the price are average
The Shape feature is pretty good actually. your variety of tone is significantly increase with this function
Used a Yamaha RBX270, RBX370 and a Cort Artisan B5
i play a variety of music from metal to pop rock.
the lows are pretty bassy but very little definition.
highs are ok but can be fairly noisy.
can hum a bit
i also use a Boss ODB-3 and a DOD FX25B enevelope filter. sound pretty good through this amp.
This amp is very easy to use. plug in and your done. you can alter the sound pretty well with the shape function and the 3 band EQ.
Durability:

This is where its cheapness really shows.
i never turned this amp above 1/3, never gigged (not really powerful enough anyway), and really never moved it from the corner of my room. no heavy knocks or bumps...
yet the knobs still managed to fall off, and worst of all, the transformer went on the unit about 3 weeks over the warranty period causing a loud hum, which resulted in the unit totally dying. the dealer who sold it to me that this unit had an 45% failure rate and the line was no longer stocked due to this fact!
The Behringer BX1200 is a great little combo, the tape in and out, the speaker option, line in and line out features are just great, the prize is unbelievable, the combo is made with qualtiy components.

I was tempted by this little combo by its sound, weight and ease of use. This cheap combo is ideal as a floor bassmonitor! I use it as a slave driven by its master Ashdown Mag 300. During rehearsal and gigs I get a total different sound in the total sound of the band. Now it's a pleasure to hear myself play every note and accent.
The solid state amp is powerful enough for use as a monitor, the tone is easy to set.
It can handle a 5-string bass although the 12inch speaker is an aluminium coned one. This combo wouldn't be ideal for use as a stand-alone but it's sheer heaven used as a monitor. The sound is clear and pronounced and the shape option is great as well.
It's Behringer so the internal design isn't totally new or earth-shaking (the sound is though). It's easy to use and to carry around (only 22 kg.) I've compared the sound with an Ampeg 100 Watt combo and although the Ampeg had more body it was clumsy in hauling around and it hasn't the tilt-back wedge shape, so my choice was easily made, the price tag was seriously different too.
The combo is built like a little tank, heavy construction and it can withstand any rough treatment.
You have to consider when reading this review that this amp is nice and cheap, I needed something loud and cheap, I'm not obsessive on the whole about my sound - I don't earn enough money. another thing that must be said as it is a very important factor in amp choices (well it was for me) is size. This thing will fit in the boot of a nissan micra along with a bass hardshell case over the back seat, a guitar, a guitar amp (roland cube 30) my case of pedals, my guitarists pedals and a small but surpisingly violent dog. This amp is good if you need a small amp but can't afford a Hartke (they cost a fortune in the UK - about $800 for a kickback 12). If it was stolen I would probably buy some ashdown gear like an EB180 head and a 210. nice.

2 channels, 4 band eq, ultrabass (octave divider), master volume, Gain, footswitch etc. More features than I'll ever really need.
Not bad, the speaker can't really all the frequencies that I push through it, it could really do with a tweeter and a little more speaker area to drive it. I've played through some expensive peavey stuff that my mate has ans the slap sound is much better through that. I use it for just about anything I play loads of different stuff. If you crank it right up it tends to distort the lower notes sounds a bit messy at times.
This amp is quite easy to use the footswich is a bit irritating there are no programmy thingys or anything like that. The EQ is four band wich means that you can't get a middle frequency, call me picky but I like to have a middle control not low mid and high mid.
Many people have whinged about these things being unreliable, I haven't found that myself with it. I have used it for a few gigs and owned it for about 4 months now playing on it for about 2 hours everyday. I kinda wish it was unreliable as it would give me a solid justification to get rid of it.
