I looked at a whole range of other bass, Fender J-Basses, P-Basses and Warwicks etc.. (just 2 name a few) And I chose this 1 because it has a great variety and also kept cropping up as 1 of the all time greats in any review I read. I would definately buy another 1 (f i could afford it!!) I really can't fault this bass, even though I have tried hard. It is a cracking bass and it is no 'cheap Stingray' it is all that you need for Intermediate/Advanced levels of playing. Thanks

Made in the USA! The body is made out of 'Selected Poplar', the fretboard made out of Rosewood and the neck made out of Maple. I have the black finish, but like on all SUB's the neck is painted black, which I think slows it down a little. 3 controls, volume, treble, and bass. MusicMan Humbucking pickups. With Custom Music Man Tuners.
Playability:
The playability is great, though it is harder to rest your thumb on the Pickups (if you do that!). The painted neck slows it a little, but really doesnt affect it. It is one of the quickest necks though in terms of size that I have played. It plays amazingly, pure American Boom! Brilliant and perfect range available to all types of players. No flaws as of yet! (Thankgooddness) And from what Ive heard, there aren't any.
Sound Quality:
I use a Hiwatt 150watt bass amp (beastly British Beef!). Go together perfectly! The bass also fits my funk and jazz style of playing. An all round guitar. The sound is warm and mellow, it is also very receptive. The sound of this bass is 10x better than anything Ive ever played. It plays well under any condition.
Durability:
It is brilliant for playing live, especially with its good looks. Hardly ever needs adjusting, but i tune it everytime I play. The controls and external parts are holding together well, just 1 slight problem witha Machine Head, though easily sorted. I havent put it into many different climate conditions, so I'm afraid i can't tell you!

Playability:
The playibility on this bass is excellent and blows any other basses in its price range right outa the water. it has a very low action and is perfect for a bita funk. the only thing i wud take marks off is for the bad finish on the some of the frets because their are some small gaps left along the top of the neck.
Sound Quality:
I use a 30watt laney with this but i am goin to buy a Gk amp rather soon i mainly play funk/alternative/reggae. and this bass is perfect for what i play and meets all my wants. the sound is very full and has an excellent bottom end. it is both an excellent stage bass and an excellent studio bass.
Durability:
This guitar is built like a tank. it is like fort knox. if the other guitars in its range are considered elephants well then it is a whale. u get me!
