ONLY KEN SMITH BASSES.... JAZZ, CLASSICAL, LATIN RHYTHEMS, POP/ROCK, CONTEMTPORARY, FUNK, JUST ABOUT ANY TYPE OF STYLES.. IT IS VERY WELL SUITED SPECIALLY FOR ON STAGE SOUND AS WELL AS FOR STUDIOS ASPECTS... FOR THIS BASS AMPLIFIER TO BE THAT SMALL, I THINK IT'S VERY UNIQUE AND ORIGINAL TO OWN THIS BAM 210 IT'S ONLY NOISY, DUE TO THE FAN, BUT IT DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR PLAYING OR RECORDING AT ALL. GOOD VOLUME TONALITES, AND GOOD DISTORTIONS..SPECIALLY FOR YOUR SOLOS...

Ive had a SWR SM-500 w/SWR 4x10" and a Hartke 3500 Stack before I purchased my BAM. The main reason I replaced my hartke 3500 stack was because of it's size and it's relative low volume. The Bam is small and it plays mush louder than my old hartke stack 4x10" pluss 1x15". The Bam is greate because it is not just one amp, it is several good sounding amps combined into one powerful combo. There are almost unlimited sound possibilities with the bam.

Features:
500 watts @ 2 ohms 350 watts @ 4 ohms. Compressor with squeeze and level control The eq can either be passive or active. It is a modelling amp therefore there are different controls associated with different amp models. Some models have an active semi parametric eq with tube pregain function. While others have just bass and treble controls without pregain. The models are the following: - Peavey Max w/BAM 2x10" no cabinet modelling. - 64' Fender Bassman Head w/Fender Bassman 2x12" cabinet. - Ampeg B-15 w/B-15 15" cabinet. - Ampeg SVT w/8x10 cabinet. - Acoustic 360 w/Folded horn 18" acoustic 360 cabinet. - SWR Super Red Head combo. - Eden WT-600 w/Eden 410XLT. - Galien-Krueger 800RB w/Hartke 410XL. 8 Effect types: Chorus/flange with crossover (variable high pass filter) Octave divider Distortion Bass Synth Fretless Phaser Auto-wah (AKA-Funk wah) DDT Speaker Protection
Sound Quality:
Ive used a fretless 4 and fretted 6 on this amp and it captures every little nuance of sound from these two instruments. I would think this combo is suited for any type of music as it can mimic any other amp. If you want say a 15" speaker. Well that as easy as turning a knob. If you want more punch well then its just a matter of Turing the knob to a 2x10" speakers and you can add the tweeter in to the mix as well. I have had several stacks before this combo including a SWR SM-500. I like this amp much more and it play about as loud(w/extension speakers). I usually quite picky but this amp really has it all. I have read that other think the fan is quite loud but I have had no problems with this. Its to my knowledge clean at all levels and the pregain functions is just awesome.
Ease of Use:
This amp is about as easy to use as your toothbrush...:) You can store patches in the preset matrix up to 16 in total.
