The best bass I've ever played.
Model Year: 1979
Price: $1200.00
Where Obtained: A friend
Features:
U.S. made, of course. It has a neck-thru body. There are four knobs: treble volume and tone, bass volume and tone. It has a three-way switch (neck, both, bridge). It has an ebony fretboard. This particular bass has a Badass Bass Bridge II. There are three imputs: normal, Rick-O-Sound, and a low-impedence direct line out.
Playability:
Has a slightly wider neck (1 11/16"). Personally, I like wider fretboards. Plays very nicely.
Sound Quality:
Has a full, rich tone with the Rickenbacker treble sound. I've played this bass with several styles of music. All sound good, but it excells in the harder rocks.
Durability:
It's twenty-five years old and still plays excellently.
