Great pedal, very fun. Going to be using this one a lot.
Price: $80.00 Can
Where Obtained: A Friend
Features:
MANUAL Knob, RES (resonance) Knob, DEPTH Knob, RATE Knob, MODE Knob GUITAR IN Jack, BASS IN Jack, OUTPUT A (MONO) Jack, OUTPUT B Jack, AC adaptor Jack (DC 9 V)
Sound Quality:
Thickest stereo flanging sounds ever. Two new modes (Ultra and Gate/Pan) create stereo flanging with incredible depth--even Slicer-type effects and sounds that seem to "swirl" around the listener. An instant classic.
Ease of Use:
Takes some practice, but fairly straightforward.
Durability:
Standard boss compact-pedal durability. Durable, within reason. Included 9V battery has very short lifespan.

It was an impulse buy, my first pedal, not useful in all situations but great if used right. Make sure you want it before you buy.
Price: $150.00 euro (new)
Where Obtained: Waltons, Dublin
Features:
Controls for rate, resonance, manual, depth and mode. Powered by a nine volt battery or supply, as most boss. Perfect for what it's needed for. Great slicer preset available in the manual.
Sound Quality:
Used with a g&l l-2000, very good for funk fingerpickings or prog rock like the mars volta etc. Not very effective with slap. Not the slightest bit of noise.
Ease of Use:
Easy to use, if you know what you're doing, can take a little fiddling at times, tap tempo is useful, again, if you know how.
Durability:
Very durable, boss. Not quite as heavy as my digitech synth wah, but still durable.

I looked at several other pedals and I chose this one because of the reputation of boss, the number of options the pedal has, and the good reviews on the pedal. I would definately buy this pedal again if it were stolen. There's nothing that I don't like about this pedal.
Model Year: 2003
Price: $89.99 (new)
Where Obtained: Online
Features:
This little pedal has a ton of settings. There are knobs that control the frequency, effect level, depth, rate, and the mode. It is both AC and battery powered. It has everything I could possibly imagine a flanger should have. It even has dual outputs for multiple sound systems.
Sound Quality:
I use an ESP B-105 bass and a Crate BFX15 amp (both reviewed by me). I play any and all music styles, and this thing can fit in well with many styles, such as rock, jazz, alternative, and experimental. It does make a noise with my distortion pedal activated, but that's the distortion that causes the noise.
Ease of Use:
There are many different sounds you can get from this. You can even program the frequency of the effect. There's a cool mode called momentary, in which the effect is only activated when you hold down the pedal, and deactivates when you let go. It's easy to hook up, just plug it in, connect your instrument, and its ready. It may be hard finding the sound you want, but there are recommendations in the book that can help get you started.
Durability:
It's a metal stomp box, like all other boss pedals, practically indestructible.
