I've had fender 5's,gibson gs(the twin to jimmy pages guitar)a "p" bass, and an aria pro 2,and now the spector,my fave overall believe it or not,was the aria.unfinished neck, wood stained(deep green)warm sound w/toggle switches.BUT I've found similar qualities in this bass.....both basses are played by gene simmons(I don't even like kiss)and mike inez from Ozzy and A.I.C.play the spector,A-

The playability on this bass is exceptional,I prefer no string rattle all the way up the neck(this probably stems from me being a frustrated lead guitar player who took 1 for the team and became the bass player/singer)!!!but ,the nut is glued and WILL break loose if you use alternate tunings(soundgarden/tool especially)so be carefull if you are playing out.for an experienced player that is looking for versatility and comfort..a+
Gallien-krueger backline 115 ; a.i.c.,tool,soundgarden.stp,old metallica(justice and before)pearl jam(no later than versus)screaming trees(!!i recommend this band to everyone, buy 1 4 granny this Christmas!!!);this bass fits my style,BUT,it would be more suited for someone that likes the pop/jazz style(flea, claypool, korn);lotta tone ,but good warm sound; My next step is to get a boss E.Q.,I think this would let me achieve the sound I'm looking 4(tool-46x2)great dist. when these 2 are played together 4 those who like it.no noise,no clipping at band practice, good 4 stage.warm/clear sound with great tone control, keeps up with an american made strat/mesa single rectumflyer/yamaha 22 piece studio
2 months mine,no case ,3 days a week practice w/drummer,2 more days practice w/guitar player,2 scratches no dents(I probably just jinxed myself at your alls expense,I thought I was going to find out if I got a good deal on my junk!)but she< durable
I value this bass for its sound and easy abilty to play,
If i were to loose or brake this base i would replace it in the blink of an eye. ( if i had the money on hand )
I love the sound, it has a steady flow that is hard to match when put to the test with othere basses in its catagory.
If this bass had lower pickups and more frets i would be as happy as a pig in ****.
*rosewood fingerboard
*solid maple neck
*solid brass cast bridge
*24 frets
*2, emg-ssd pickups
*a volume and tone for each pickup
*bolt on neck
*non-locking tuners
*4 strings
*amber stain colour
*high gloss finish
*the 24th fret dose not fully sound becuase the pickup closest to the fingerboard is to high and hits the string when playing the 24th fret, even when the pickup is lowerd as much as it can
*the neck at first felt a little long but after a month or so came to me more easily
*it feels more comfurtable then a fender squeir
Iv used this base only with a yorkville 100watt with no effects. it can be adapted to sound very well in diffrent areas such as punk, jazz, swing. slapping on the bass is very awsome, for sound quality, when i slap i feel like im stu hamm, or victor wooten ( if you have herd of them you know what i mean).
Iv had to re-adjust the strings maybe a month or 2 between but thats probably becuase of me wearing them down.
As for climate changes i keep it locked in a flight case so it's still in peak condition. the hardware has given me no troubles, as for feedback i havent had any yet, and nothing has broke i.e knowb fallin off.
As far as strap goes id suggest using a strap lock to make sure it does not fall off, the spector is evenly balanced but you should still use a strap lock for every bass just incase.
