Peavey Series 400

210W Head

Made by Peavey

Description I bought this amp from a friend for $50. It is very loud and very very nice sounding. It is old and from the 70s but the 70s were cool.

I chose this one because it was the onl;y one my friend had for sell for $50. It is some great stuff. If you see one of these buy it. I would definately steal another one if it gets stolen from me...OOPS i mean buy another one if it's stolen. HEHE
Price: $50.00
Where Obtained: Friend
Features:
It has buit in distortion and fuzz and it has different channels you can run throught to access different features. I use an active bass and this amp has an awesome 6 band EQ and another 3 band EQ over that. It has smiley face stickers on the knobs, but I don't think those are stock. They may be a special option or something.(kidding)
Sound Quality:
I use an active 6-string Washburn bass through this head with a Peavey 115 Cab that is black widow equipped. This head pushes the cab very well and it pounds out the lows and mids with a great tone and kick that will make you wanna slap your mamma.
Ease of Use:
Not to easy to use. Obtaing proper settings and EQ on this amp is a little tricky and very easy to podge up on. It does take alot of fiddling AT FIRST to obtain a good sound but then it gets easy to know what is going on.
Durability:
Very durable old head. This thing is over 30 years old and probably has more miles on it than a Mexican's Chevy. This head is very very heavy duyty and as far as I know has NEVER been retubed.
