It's a good CD and a decent intro to the band without a doubt. But much of the truly great playing of Yes occurs in their more obscure songs and discs (like the stunning "Relayer'). Chris Squire is a great pick-style player, and he has had the chance to interact with some of the best instrumentalists in rock music (like legend Rick Wakeman on keys, or Steve Howe, who won Guitar Player Magazine's "Overall Best" award 5 years in a row). If you're just checking them out, this disc is a good place to start.

This is my favorite Yes cd. I can't give any specific reason other than it has most of the songs that first made them famous, and for it's day was a fresh and original sound. Chris Squire is one of the top bassists the rock world has ever heard. With his richenbacher sound and his meaty bass lines It's know wonder he is one of the top bassist's of all time, and that only add's to the coulor and flare of this cd.
