Peavey Dynabass 5

Electric Fretted 5-String Bass

Made by Peavey

Description This is a reallly cool bass. I got it in Red with Quilt-top which is like a reptile skin effect(dead cool). The hardware is silver and my only complaint is that it looks a bit plasticy. Two big humbuckers(very powerful) and 24frets.

I looked at the Ibanez GSR205 aswell and only actually found out about this one a week or two before purchsing it! I choose this over the Ibanez coz the features were a lot more exclusive and the Ibanez was just black and boring. If this bass was lost of stolen i would probably buy it again maybe in blue or something. This bass could be better by being a bit lighter and not having that funny red bit at the end of the neck(bottem end). My favourite thing about this bass is the low B string plays like a beauty and unlike others i`ve played it dosent rattle. One thing to people who are thinking of buying this bass is...get the Quilt top coz it looks much cooler.. Oha nd drop by my webbie.. My weebie Thanks;)
Model Year: 2003
Price: $200.00 Pounds (new)
Where Obtained: Guitar, Amp Keyboard centre
Features:
Made in Vietnam in 2003 this is the newest model(5-string) 24 frets and a rosewood fret board.Unlike my old bass the frets aint razor sharp! There is a volume control and a tone control for each pickup so there 4 controls overall. There is two big humbuckers both very sensetive and powerful and its got Passive electronics. The finish is Quilt top which is really nice and dead cool!
Sound Quality:
I use this with my crappy Peavey microbass and Boss Ceb-3 chorus pedel and it works well with both. Only complaint is that with the sound merges together a bit with the microbass amp. I play mostly metal and it works well as you can get a wide range of sounds from just changing the tone.
Durability:
I never gigged with this bass but apart fromt he fact that its pretty heavey it would probably be fine to play on stage. The strap-locks are excellent...so wide it took me forever to get my strap onto it(unlike my old one where it reguarly fell off)
