I love this pedal, even after a few days of having it. Sounds and plays great, and fills space like no ones buisness.
Model Year: 2003
Where Obtained: Private
AC powered/9V Battery powered, basic features include level adjustment, Octave one (down one octave) and octave two (down two octaves). Dead simple!
As an Octave pedal, it's probably the best out there right now...have yet to try the OC-3 but I didn't want to anyway...the OC-2 has the features I need.
One thing to note if you're new to Octave pedals...they will not track below B. You're pushing it with C really to be honest, and the OC-2 is no exception. No double stops either...only if you want crazy warbling.
Other than that it does exactly what it does on the tin. It's really phat sounding...livens up my setup, and goes well with my Envelope filter.
Simple. It ain't rocket science.
It's a Boss pedal...few chips in mine but that's no problem.
I HAVE A LOT OF FUN WITH THIS PEDAL IN JAZZ AND SYNTH ROCK SETTINGS
Model Year: 1990

ONE THING I WOULD LIKE BOSS TO DO IS HAVE DOUBLE ADAPTER LINKS ON ALL THEIR PEDALS SO AS TO RUN ADAPTER CONNECTIONS FROM PEDAL TO PEDAL
GREAT TO CREATE FILLS IN OUTROS TO SYNTH BASED ROCK- FOR EXAMPLE- TOMMY SIMS USES AN OCTIVE PEDAL IN THE OUTRO OF WHITEHEARTS SONG- NO TABOO (ALBUM-EMERGENCY BROADCAST-SPARROW MUSIC (c)1987) TO CREATE SOME TENSE BUILD UP BEFORE THE SONG ENDS- THIS BASS MONSTER USUALLY DOES NOT LIKE ANY EFFECTS AT ALL- SO THIS IS A RARE GEM OF A PIECE
A MUST FOR EVERY BASS PLAYER UNLESS YOU HAVE A MULTI EFFECTS BOARD WITH OCTAVER INCLUDED- OTHERWISE VERY SIMPLE TO USE TO CREATE ARTIFICIAL HIGHS AND LOWS
HAD PEDAL 14 YEARS-STILL LIKE NEW
I enjoy this effects, expecially play over the 12th.
Model Year: 2001
Price: $60.00 Italy
Where Obtained: Musitek
Oct. 1 - Oct. 2 - Direct level
Powered by battery or Boss trasformer.
I use it in few songs where i need more sound, expecially during the solo.
I never used other octaver and i'm happy with this sound, it's cool.
I use only a regulation on it so i don't have problem.
If you use some differet regulation you'll find the problem of all effects pedal (you have to do the regulation to setup what you want, there's no programs)
Good durability like all the Boss effects.
Very cool to have when you want to add some fat bottom to high notes or to fill up a lead tone.
Price: $70.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Mars Music
Controls are: Octave 1, Octave 2, and Level. Can be powered by AC or Battery.
Sounds really good on the higher notes of the neck (above the 12th fret) but can sometimes have too much low end for you speaker cab. Very cool that you can control the amount of each octave. Sounds great when you crank the first octave and add just a hint of the extremely low second octave.
Very easy to use. Just let your ear guide you.
