If it wasn't for me having to compete with two marshall twin stacks id never swap, as it is ive upgraded to a SWR 750x and Goliath III, this is perpect for playing gigs of us to 500 folk, will cut through at pubs or clubs

I brought this Amp with the Workingmans 410T 4x10 Cab. Id never heard of SWR before and was on my way to play a gig when my amp was destroyed. I didn't have much time to shop around and this fitted my needs perfectly.
Ive played laods of gigs inc pubs, clubs and festivals. I packs a nice punch and good clairty.
Ive used both direct effects and the FX loop, its easy to set-up and manual provides a good walk through.
I use both Precision Fenders and Jazz Fenders and have found a nice sound for both.
I got nice phat bottoms and cleah highs from this rig.
Easy! no graphic in sight and the manual explans any grey areas, yourll notice the differnce when using the SWR Aural Enhancer!
I looked at Ampeg, GK, and fender amps before picking this one. Bust the rest sounded like they where trying too hard to sound like what I wanted. If this amp were stolen I would probably even by one with more watts! The only improvment would be to have the Direct out to be post EQ, so that MY sound is in the house mix, not the engineers sound.

I play a Yamaha BB404 Standard passive 4 string. From the Bass I send the signal direct into the passive input on the 2002. The 2002 drives a SWR 2x10 and a 1X15 @ 4hms. For the styles I play (Rock, Rop, R&B, Metla), this amp is great. I have little problem getting most any tone from past and present. I haven't tried to get any dirt out of this amp. Besides, if I want dirt I'll get a Bass Overdrive of some sort. It has some noise but you really have to be listening for that. It is only really noticeable when the midrange is cranked, but I don't care to crank the mid...so it stays quiet. The aural enhancer is very cool too. It accentuates bass and treble and drops mids for slap playing as you max it out.
Easy? You betcha!
Out of the box, plug it in, dialed in a suggested setting, tweaked for 1 minute and BAM you got yourself a monster sound. Probably the easiest amp I ever used.
27 lbs. with extra rack space empty. Built like a tank.
No tubes so you never have to worry about that. I do ALWAYS have extra fuses on hand. the case is made out of 1/4" carpeted wood, so you would really have to take a chain saw to damage this one.
I'll admit, when I have the money and need for a larger head I will go up to the 4004, but for the type of gigs I'm playing it is perfect. If I woke up tomorrow to find it stolen I would definetly buy the same thing.
Another nice feature is that I have a single rack space built into the head cab. Great for when I find a nice sounding multi-effects processor or added eq.

I bought this amp because I wanted more mid range punch from my bass. The EQ has bass, midrange level, midrange frequency, treble, transparency, and aural enhancer.
Everything is pretty straight forward. But the aural enhancer is what helped me decide on buying the head. I play five string and the aural enhancer brought up the low frequency significantly. My B string doesn't sound muddy or flat anymore.
I play jazz and also play in a metal cover band and it works great for both.
Plus the midrange controls help me to cut through the mix and be heard.
I use my Fender Jazz bass w/ active p/ups and it sounds great. I run it through the SWR 15" cab and I have a good blend of bass and mid.
Like any amp, it takes time to key in the perfect sound, but with patience it is findable.
I've never had a problem with the electronics or anything else involved w/ the amp.
