A very unique effect for the bass. It works just as well for bass as it does for guitar. Only get this if you know what you are getting into, or if you just want to get into some serious experimentation. Otherwise, 95% of you will find this pedal absolutely useless.
Model Year: 2007
Price: $109.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Musician's Friend
Features:
This is a standard boss pedal with both battery and wall wart options. Knobs include effect level, feedback (how long the delay rings), delay time, and mode. The mode selects the range of delay, and the delay time knob selects within that range. The min and max delay time are more than adequate for bass applications.
Sound Quality:
This is a digital pedal. Some people swear that tone is compromised with digital pedals. They are probably right, but it's likely more noticable with a guitar with massive gain. My bass doesn't appear to lose any quality of sound whatsoever. The delay effect is precise. It only sounds like what you sound like, and it repeats that sound as fast or slow as you want. Simple as that. Tone is up to you before using this.
Ease of Use:
It's fairly easy to use. A slight touch on the knobs will have a noticable effect. This means there is a wide array of sounds this can produce, which also means it may be difficult getting the exact delay you want. It may be especially difficult if you want two different delays for different songs. This would be tricky to adjust in the middle of a gig to make it sound just right.
Durability:
Same durability as any boss pedal. Their weakness is the knobs. If you drop it and it happens to land on the knob, the pot shaft will bend. This happened on my flanger. Although it bent, it still works just fine. It's very durable, but it's no ProCo Rat :)

Great Delay pedal, everything I could ask for in a delay, nothing more, If you want more features then go for a DD-6. The DD-6 was to costly for me and I figured I wouldn't have much use for most of the effects on it, so I wen't with the DD-3 and I'm very happy.
Price: $140.00 CDN (new)
Where Obtained: Steves music
Features:
Effect level knob, Feedback knob, Delay Time knob, and delay size knob. 12-800ms delay times, with Hold function. Everything I need in a delay. Regular boss pedal style with optional AC power or Battery, I always use AC power, don't trust batteries.
Sound Quality:
Effect level knob ajusts the wet signal level of the dry. Feeback knob ajusts how many repeats the delay has. Delay time knob ajusts the delay time, Mode knob ajusts the Delay size: Small = 12ms-50ms Medium = 50ms-200ms Large = 200ms-800ms Sounds great, no complaints here.
Ease of Use:
Very easy to use, just pick it up, plug it in, set what you want and turn it on.
Durability:
Boss pedal, need I say more?
