Carole Kaye is a true inspiration. Her track record, discography and experience is incredible. She is a true icon in music history.

I especially enjoyed her 100 tips on playing bass. Her expeience in the music industry comes across in this section. Who better than to get playing tips from?

Although I haven't bought her lessons yet, it has been highly recommended to me by a reputable source from Active Bass.

This web site shows that Carole is a bass player/teacher who cares. She personally responds to messages that are posted on the site.

Carol Kaye is one of a Kind!! She is Unique in her own way! Just look at her LONG and Successful Career. Her web site has some Great info on her Chordal method of playing the Bass. Also, there is some Theory and some wondeful advise from her. You may e-mail her with questions, and she will get back to you with the answer!! She seems very eager to help anyone she can. There is a section where she in on-line answering questions and giving pointers. Most of the info is saved for your review. Sometimes you have to read through a lot of infomation to get to want you want...A small drawback. If you wanted to order some of her Books, there is a link to them as well. I recommend that you go there and look at this site...You may learn something!!!

Carol Kaye is one of the greats of bass playing. She played sessions on over 10000 recordings, rock, funk and jazz. Along with James Jamerson, she is the very definition of Motown bass. Her site is a very useful resource, especially the Education section. She provides hundreds of useful tips for the intermediate to advanced bassist for free, but she also advertises her instructional books which I have not seen, but sound good. In addition, the site provides a good guide to Carol's career, recordings, pictures and so forth.
